The guides at Saarinen Tours are dedicated to making every interaction special.
I have experienced Saarinen Tours both as a partner and as a customer. It is hard to imagine taking my own clients on a guided tour of Helsinki Central Railway Station with anyone else.
The Central Railway Station is usually seen as a transit point, so people often forget to really look at it. Sari Saarinen and Sara Kontio have a unique ability to make visitors truly stop and take it in. With Sari being a relative of Eliel Saarinen and Sara Kontio having previously worked for VR, they have a unique treasure trove of stories that add undeniable value to the station as a building.
Working with Saarinen Tours is unparalleled. Sari and Sara are dedicated to making every interaction special. Once, we organized a Spooky Tour to the Central Railway Station’s clock tower for Halloween, and Sari fully embraced the event by dressing up as her deceased relative. She had the wig and costume – everything was perfect! It truly made the customer experience unique.
I highly recommend Saarinen Tours both as a customer and as a partner. With Sari and Sara, there is no stagnation if something doesn't work out; instead, we brainstorm together on how to make even the wildest ideas a reality.

The visit to the clock tower of Helsinki Central Railway Station was a unique experience.
Sari took us on a Saarinen Tours guided tour of Helsinki Central Railway Station and several other Eliel Saarinen sites as part of our workplace wellness day. The visit to the station's iconic clock tower was a unique experience that offered a stunning new perspective on Helsinki.
Sari Saarinen is an exceptionally skilled architecture guide, whose expertise and storytelling ability are truly impressive. She addressed our questions and engaged in lively discussions during the tour, sharing a wealth of information that was new even to architecture enthusiasts.
The experience with Saarinen Tours and Sari’s tour was extremely positive. I believe many will start seeing Helsinki’s central landmark, the railway station, with new eyes after the tour. I highly recommend Saarinen Tours!

On Saarinen Tours guided tours, the storytelling feels personal
Sari's absolute trump card is that she is a Saarinen. No one else can compete with that. While others can share anecdotes found in public sources, Sari has deep knowledge of Hvitträsk through her family.
I have guided expert visitors through Eliel Saarinen’s studio home, having worked at the National Board of Antiquities and the Museum of Finnish Architecture. When Sari invited me and other stakeholders for a promotional tour of Hvitträsk, I was curious to see how else one could guide there besides my own method.
The group appreciated how Sari wove her family chronicle into the space; she did it very cleverly and added a cheerful touch to the tour. The relaxed pace of her guiding came across to me as well, even though I knew the schedule was tight.
The former tennis court at Hvitträsk is now a parking lot, so you arrive from what feels like the wrong side. That’s why I prefer to start my tours from the forest path down the hill. This approach brings the place to life and leads people to think, "This is where they came from," revealing a beautiful view. I believe it is a good and important start to Hvitträsk, and I was pleased to see Sari did it the same way as I did.
Sari’s connection to the Saarinen family attracts people to choose her as their guide: Sari is no ordinary guide. On Saarinen Tours, each visitor receives personal headphones, which bring the guide's storytelling close. I find they work excellently in the confined spaces of Hvitträsk.

Feedback from Anne, UK
Dear Sari:
I have been meaning to write to you since our return to thank you
on behalf of the Board of the British Architectural Library Trust for the truly memorable tour you organized for us in Finland. We have all been talking back and forth amongst ourselves about this being one of the best journeys any of us has previously undertaken.
The architecture was our first priority but you brought us so much more including all things Finnish and truly remarkable people to whom you introduced us.
Importantly for all of us was your reliably upbeat and agreeable presence and your no-drama problem solving capabilities.
We to a person loved our trip and we all adored you. We will never forget Finland and we will never forget you!
Many best wishes
Anne Mann
